Man I’m bored…LMAO

What’s up people, I’m sure this will be my last post (LOL). So everyone, I’m assuming you all did great on the final…and for the class as a whole. Next Lorrie…who me I always listen to Doctor’s; yeah right (LOL). But I had fun this semester in class, you guys made me laugh and I had fun.  So everybody enjoy the rest of your summer.  I’m out….and FYI never try to play a Xbox game, while taking pain killers (LAMO).

And I’m still alive….

So today I had surgery and came out of it in 1 piece. But going to the hospital is like buying a car….it’s always a catch.  So after I woke up in the recovery room and got my senses together my doctor came in to see me.  And there is more damage to my knee then first expected, so he informed me that in a couple of weeks when the swelling goes down I will be having another surgery.  You can imagine my first comment….SERIOUSLY! Oh well got to get healthy.  If it wasn’t for Bad luck, I wouldn’t have no luck at all.  Well I’m about to take these pain killers and count these purple unicorns.  I hope you all pass that final exam and pass with flying colors, if you guys need anything form me just hit me up.

Well That’s All Folks

So I took my last test in IS101 tonight.  I had a fun time in class met some real characters and learned a few things that I had real bad habits doing on a computer. 

But I have to be at the hospital @ 5:30 am to get prepped for my surgery.  And if anyone carried to know what its called, it is a High Tibial Osteotomy.  Here is a link to a web site that shows a good example of the surgery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcuK2vHh4Ak&noredirect=1 (and don’t worry its PG 13).  But on that note, I hope everyone did very well in IS101 and got the grade they were hoping for.  Maybe I’ll see you in another class or in the clubs of Las Vegas…until then TURN UP!!!, to bad my surgery is going to make me Turn down for a while.

P.S. For those of you who have been wondering what Turn Up means?  It just a saying that means, do it big, have a blast, and if you’re going to do it MAKE IT REMEMBERABLE.

Vacations, Are never really relaxing…..

What’s up everybody, hope everyone had a good week in class and a better weekend.  So I’m back from seeing my family/vacation.  Which brings me to the my topic for today for today, why is it when you take a trip back home on a quote “Vacation” why it’s never really relaxing.  Man I was doing more running around for family members then relaxing, and everybody wanted to see me, because I never really go home.  I say this, and mark my words…there was nothing really relaxing about it (I’m just saying).  Next time I’m just going to not go, it would be more relaxing and less expensive.  But until next time, and remember always Turn Up!!!

I’m the worst at packing

What’s up world, hope everyone had a great weekend.  First just want to let everyone know that it’s time for Fantasy football, (I can’t wait).  Now onto the title of today’s blog; Packing for trips. Let me say this and I mean it in the nicest way, I pack like a woman (LOL).  I packed my bag for this trip I’m going on, and it seemed to way a ton.  First of all, as men our clothes are naturally bigger and take up much space.  So when I looked in my bag and say that I had six pairs of shoes for a five day trip, and like 9 outfits or so…I know I needed to be slapped.  So I unpacked my bag and removed some of the shoes and adjusted my clothes, and everything turned out much better.  So to my guys out there, stop packing like a women, and well women….keep over packing and using the extra space in your man’s luggage.  Until next time….Turn up!

Today I’m giving out movie selections

So hope everybody and good weekend, and I that got me to thinking about what do you watch when you’re bored.  So today I’m going to recommend a few movies that I’ve watched recently. Keep in mind, these are movies that you can just watch at home and relax.  Now granted my first choice is a good action flick, but these are my choices in order.  First lets go with Olympus has fallen (featuring Gerard Bulter and Morgan Freeman), this movie dam good a must see. Next G.I. Joe Retaliation (featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Bruce Willis), The Last Stand (featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger – and yes he is getting old), Jack Reacher (featuring Tom Cruise) and Identity Thief (featuring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy).  Also one other movie that I came across its call Atlas Shrugged (Part 1 & II), it based off a series of books…truth be told, a very good movie (It’s more a suspense thriller).  Can’t wait for the third installment to be made.  But just my opinions on a few movies, if anybody has any good movies to recommend pass them on to me, lord knows after my surgery I’m going to be watching a lot of them.  Until next time……Turn Up!

This is going to suck….LOL

What’s up good people, hope everybody had a good 4^th.  Mine was nice had the grill going, chilling in the Pool at the house, and people were having a good time.  Then I went out and did it how we do in Las Vegas…Turn Up (LOL).  But I better enjoy these days now, because I’m having Knee Surgery again at the end of July (And it’s going to suck).  Doctor told me no driving or even putting weight on it for 6-8 Weeks, and then I’ll be on crutches for another 3-4 Months after that.  What am I going to do stuck at home for 6 weeks.  I know this; a lot of X-Box and PS3 will be involved.  Until next time….Turn Up!!

Looking for a B-Day gift….

Well I had a rough week dealing with my migraines, the meds make me feel like I’m moving in slow motion and now it’s time for my regular shots to keep them under control (30 shots around my neck and forehead….lucky me).  But on to a more cheerful note, I’m trying to figure out what to get my dad for his upcoming 65^th birthday.  Last year I booked him a little get away trip, but this year I’m thinking of really getting him a vacation maybe Hawaii for about 4 days; that’s if I can ever get him to stop working.  Can’t figure that man out, He’s been an engineer his entire life so money is not the issue he’s just working to work. Oh well, people help me out…..I need B-day gift ideas?

Oh yeah side note, to anyone that might need some help with any of our IS101 Access stuff or anything else, and since I’ve completed all the Access modules already I have some free time tomorrow to meet at the Cheyenne Computer Lab and help out. Just let me know.  I’m thinking about going up there around 12 until 2 or later (depending).

 

This Week In the News

So today I’m going to change it up a little bit usually I try to just keep my blogs simple, but today I’m going to talk about so real things.  First I have to say all “Miami Heat fans stand up”…and if you still hating on Lebron James, you need to get a life coach (LOL).  Now on to a more serious matter I read today on the (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/23/paula-deen) Huffington post that the food network fired Paula Deen.  She was let go for racial discrimination, several employees have come forth saying that Deen and her brother consistently used racial slurs at minorities.  There was one of her employees, whom was consistently referred to as “my little monkey.”

Now I’m not going to lay judgment about her actions because the whole story has yet to come out.  Because people always say things out of anger, and such.  But if she did these things on purpose, well then I hope she gets help and learns to treat people better.  But when you get chance I say go read up on the article.

 

Time for a little fun in the Sun

Another class under my belt, and another Quiz taken.  So class is really starting to pick up, but it’s nothing I can’t handle.  I’ve already completed both my SAM assignments and got 100% and have completed Word D exercise in the book.  The reason I did all of that is because I’m going on a little B-day Vacation this weekend to Jamaica.  So everyone have a good weekend because I will, and I’ll make sure to have a drink and fun for everyone. 3rd class meeting and I’m having a blast

So today was our first Test/Quiz in class, and I would say it was not that hard.  Our Instructor gave us chances to correct errors, and advice on how to prepare for future tests.  But on overall, I am having a blast in class and have remember a few things that I had forgot due to my bad computer habits.  So I’m looking forward to the next several weeks.

Ready for round 2....Lets get it

Well this was my second day in class and we really started working with our syllabus.  Now that I’ve started working with it and got some firsthand instructions from Mr. Wu, it should be all downhill from here.  Mr. Wu makes this a straight forward class and easy to follow.  I think I will have fun over the next 8 weeks.  Stay tuned for feature updates.

 

First Day of Class...So Far So Good

This was the first class day.  We did the introductions, and the Instructor went over the syllabus.  Afterwards we did the first class project.  My overall impression of the class after the first day is very positive.  To me it won’t cause me many problems, but it will help me clean up some of my bad computer habits, I have developed; and I should even learn a few new things.
